Post-wedding shoot turns tragic as groom drowns in Kuttiadipuzha

KOZHIKODE: A post-wedding shoot has turned tragic for a groom, who drowned in the Kuttiadipuzha in Kozhikode. The accident happened at Janakikadupuzha in Kuttiadi, Kozhikode. The dead has been identified as Rejil of Kadiyangad in Kuttiadi. Though his wife got stuck in the water currents, was able to save her. She has been admitted in the hospital in a serious condition.

The couple got stuck in the water currents in Kuttiadipuzha. They got married on March 14. The accident happened when Rejil accidentally slipped during an outdoor shoot.

Janakipuzha is a river that experiences tidal waves. Many unfamiliar people have met with accidents here before. However, Regil knew about this as he was a native of this place.
