Covid cases in country fall below 1000, Kerala tops in daily case numbers

NEW DELHI: The Covid cases in the country have dropped sharply. 913 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The daily cases have dropped below 1,000 for the first time in 715 days.

81 Covid deaths were reported last day. As of now, a total of 4,30,29,044 cases have been reported in the country. Currently, there are only less than 13,000 active cases, said the Union Health Ministry. The recovery rate and test positivity rate are 98.76 percent and 0.24 percent respectively.

Meantime, Kerala still stands first in the daily Covid cases. The state reported 256 positive cases last day. No Covid death was reported on Monday. Currently, 2502 people are undergoing treatment. So far, 68,130 Covid deaths have been recorded in the state.
