Photoshoot and accidents

kk

Accidents while taking selfies and photo shoots have become common nowadays. Many people choose dangerous places and situations to make their photos look different. This is what causes accidents. Adventures like hanging out on a running train and taking selfies should also be banned. The number of youngsters who died while trying to take a selfie in a dangerous way is not small.

If you check out the wedding photoshoots on Facebook, you can see that the background of most of the pictures is water. The bride and groom, who do not know how to swim, are taken to the sea or river in boats and canoes for a photoshoot. Photoshoots up the hill and mountains are no less. It's good that wedding photoshoots are becoming a big business. But the dangers that may arise in its name must be prevented. A post-wedding shoot turned tragic for a groom named Rejinlal, who drowned in the Kuttiadipuzha in Kozhikode. The accident happened at Janakikadupuzha in Kuttiadi, Kozhikode. The tragedy happened when the groom jumped into the river to save his wife who had slipped and fallen into the river while taking a photo. The wife was rescued by locals. One can only imagine how sad these tragic events can be to relatives and friends.

These accidents point to the need for local authorities to regulate photoshoots in hazardous areas and to ban them in the most dangerous areas. Photoshoots can be allowed in safe places and parks. Relatives and friends of the newlyweds should take the necessary precautions to avoid inviting accidents in the name of taking unique photos. Photographers also need to be careful not to instruct couples to pose on dangerous slopes, such as on mountain tops.

Several accidents have taken place in the past in the Janakikkad river where Rejinlal lost his life. It is also a tourist destination that lacks warning signs.

Photoshoots in the water bodies should not be allowed without the use of safety equipment such as life jackets. The government should also consider measures to prevent such accidents.
