Lakshadweep makes bicycle mandatory for government employees; this is the reason behind this decision

KAVARATTI: Lakshadweep government employees are required to arrive on bicycles every Wednesday as per new order.The new decision is aimed at minimizing the use of motor vehicles as part of efforts to curb air pollution.

The disabled and the seriously ill have been excluded from the new order. The order has come into effect from today. The island administration said it had received good support from officials on the first day.
