THRITHALA: Discussions should be held on the government’s unwillingness to release the report by Justice Hema commission, which was appointed to study the problems in the film industry, said Congress leader V T Balram. Don’t fall into the trap of controversies raised by those having vested interests, he said.

Balram has expressed his response through a Facebook post. Numerous people, including actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, had come forward demanding the release of the Hema commission report. Members of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), the women's organization in cinema, had earlier met with the Women's Commission seeking their intervention in the release of the report.
