FBI busts Pak attempt to intrude into US President’s security system, two held

white-house

WASHINGTON: Pakistan spy agency ISI’s attempt to intrude into the American intelligence and security apparatus, including its high profile secret service in charge of the security of the President, was busted. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested two Pakistan natives in connection with the incident, last day. The accused have been identified as Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali.

According to Federal Law Enforcement officials, Haider Ali possessed visas from various countries such as Pakistan and Iran. Both of them were living in an apartment in Washington DC. They had even set up video surveillance in different parts of their apartment. They are even suspected to have used the satellite phones of the other residents. It is also believed that the two had access to the personal information of all the residents at the apartment complex, many of whom were top officials of law enforcement agencies.

An investigation has been launched to find out how the accused, Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali, received approval to reside in the apartment. A probe is also being conducted to figure out whether any fault was made from the part of American secret service agents.

Currently, Pakistan and the US are not in good terms. Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan had publicly accused the US for the current crisis in Pakistan. He had alleged that the US had turned the opposition against him. The US has reacted harshly to the allegations.
