Will KGF 2 overtake RRR? Earns huge amount within 12 hours of pre-booking sales

One of the most anticipated films of the year, KGF 2, is all set to hit theatres on April 14. KGF, starring superstar Yash, had received good review from the critics. The fans are all excited for its much awaited sequel.

In KGF 2, Yash will be seen alongside prominent actors including Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi. A week ahead of its release, the film has broken all booking sales records. Within 12 hours, approximately 1.07 lakh tickets of the movie has been sold in the Hindi belts with a total gross of Rs 3.35 crore.

As of now, Delhi is leading in ticket sales in the range of Rs 75 lakh, followed by Mumbai with a total of approximately Rs 60 lakh. The bookings have opened only on limited shows now.

KGF 2 is competing with Rajamouli’s RRR. According to a leading daily, RRR had an overall advance of Rs 5.08 crore. However, KGF has already crossed Rs 3.35 crores. It is likely to give a tough competition for RRR in the coming week.

The movie directed by Prashanth Neel is being released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Prithviraj Productions will distribute the film in Malayalam.
