Suspension of leaders: Indefinite satyagraha agitation in KSEB from Monday

kseb-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An indefinite satyagraha agitation will be held in KSEB from tomorrow following the battle between the pro-government organization and the chairman. Minister K Krishnankutty had said that he would try to resolve the issue after arriving in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister and the Left leaders have already arrived in the capital after the party congress.

Minister K Krishnankutty has demanded the reinstatement of the suspended executive engineer for non-compliance with duty and withdrawal dies non.

The current issue is the suspension of the president and general secretary of the pro-CPM officers' association. It was led by an incident in which members of the organization trespassed in the chairman's board room. The 21 people involved have been identified by CCTV cameras. Disciplinary action is also recommended against them.

Two months ago, pro-Left organizations and the chairman clashed over SISF security at the Vaidyuthi Bhavan. The agreement was reached in a conciliatory meeting held by LDF convener A Vijayaraghavan. Later, KSEB set up a system to implement the reform measures by trusting the representatives of the organizations.

The cause of the problem is the imposition of dies non for a nationwide strike, which lasted for two days. Meanwhile, the executive engineer in charge of power supply in the Thiruvananthapuram region was suspended for leaving the state without taking leave or transfer of duty. The pro-CPM officers' association staged a half-day satyagraha against this. That is when the protesters broke into the chairman's board room and disrupted the meeting. The president and general secretary of the association were suspended for this. The association warns that if the issue is not resolved, there will be a non-cooperation strike and a strike.
