Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to flag off 'SWIFT' bus services in the state on Monday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The buses of 'SWIFT' company formed under KSRTC with the objective of making timely changes in the public transport sector in the state will start service from Monday onwards. SWIFT aims to provide passengers with a comfortable ride as well as maximize profits on long-distance services. The uniform of the employees of Swift Bus is different from that of KSRTC. The driver cum conductor staff will be provided with a light orange shirt and black pants.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will flag off the service at Thampanoor KSRTC terminal at 5.30 pm today. Minister Antony Raju will preside over the function. Minister MV Govindan will release the Village Train Guide Book. Minister V Sivankutty released the website and Minister GR. Anil will also distribute prizes to those who make reservations first.

Four AC Volvo sleepers to Bangalore and six bypass riders to Kozhikode, Mananthavady and Kannur will be in service on the first day. Minister Antony Raju will flag off the return service from Bangalore tomorrow at 5.30 pm. The news of the formation of Swift Company was first reported by Kerala Kaumudi on January 4, 2021. There have been a rush to buy tickets to the service.
