'Brutally tortured by mother-in-law, husband did not utter single word'; Voice clip surfaces proving that woman committed suicide in Kollam due to domestic violence

KOLLAM: A voice clip has surfaced proving that Suvya AS, who committed suicide at her husband's house in East Kallada, was subjected to brutal torture by her mother-in-law. The voice message sent by Suvya to her relatives before committing suicide revealed the torture she suffered at her husband's house. Kadakkode native Suvya committed suicide yesterday morning. It was also revealed that she had an argument with her mother-in-law even before she died. Following the argument, Suvya entered the room and closed the door. She was later found hanging inside the room.

In the voice message, Suvya can be saying that her mother-in-law was cruelly torturing her and that she was suffering from severe mental anguish. She also said that her mother-in-law used to constantly ask her to leave the house and that her husband did not say anything against this.

At present, police have registered a case of unnatural death. The police are likely to charge Suvya's husband and mother-in-law with inciting suicide in the wake of the voice message.
