ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan has been ousted as Pakistan's Prime Minister in a dramatic move. Instead, when Shahbaz Sharif will be sworn in as the 23rd Prime Minister of the country, there will be no Pakistani President Dr. Arif Alvi to preside over the ceremony.

The President felt a discomfort and informed the doctors of his difficult situation. After a detailed examination, the doctors advised Arif Alvi to rest for a few days. The information was released via the President's official Twitter account. Speaker Ayas Sadiq is expected to administer the oath of office to the new Prime Minister.

There are 15 months left before Pakistan's general election. 70-year old Shahbaz, will rule the country during this period. Imran Khan was ousted in a no-confidence vote late Saturday night and Sunday. Then the Opposition parties have choosen Shahbaz as the PM. Shehbaz was offered the PM post in 2017, following the ousting of his brother Nawaz Sharif. But he was not ready to accept it then.
