murders-

ALAPPUZHA: Four months after the killing of RSS and SDPI activists in Alappuzha, the police have not been able to nab all the accused. Five people are to be arrested in these cases.

Chargesheet was filed 90 days ago to prevent the arrested accused from getting bail.

KS Shan, former state secretary of SDPI, was hacked to death in Mannancherry on December 18 at 8.30 pm and died at the hospital at 12.45 am on December 19. In retaliation, BJP OBC Morcha state secretary Ranjith Sreenivas was hacked to death in front of his mother in Alappuzha at 6.30 am on December 19.

A chargesheet was filed against 11 RSS activists arrested in Shan murder case. However, two RSS leaders involved in the conspiracy are absconding. A chargesheet has been filed against 15 SDPI activists in the Ranjith murder case. Of the total 34 accused, three are absconding.

Shan's murder was in retaliation for the killing of RSS activist Nandu in Vayalar in Cherthala. The incidents in Palakkad is similar to what happened in Alappuzha.
