KABUL: At least 36 people, including children, have been killed in a Pakistan airstrike in Afghanistan. International news agencies reported that Pakistan attacked Khost and Kunar provinces in Afghanistan on Friday night. Local Afghan officials have also confirmed the attack.
Taliban leaders have summoned Mansour Ahmed Khan, Pakistan's diplomatic representative to Kabul, to express their protest against the attack, but Pakistan has denied Taliban's claims of airstrikes. Pakistan has said the militants entered Pakistan through the western part of the border with Afghanistan. But the Taliban said such attacks could lead to unprovoked counter-attacks.
