Benefit given only to police, will be made available to public for two months

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police’ school market with huge discounts will start on Thursday. The discounts range from 20 to 50 percent. The discounts will be available not only to the police but also to the public at the 'School Bazaar' in the Police Co-operative Society headquarters behind the Nandavanam AR Camp. The fair has been organized by the Police Co-operative Society. All materials including bags, umbrella, books, uniform, shoes, lunch box, study materials, water bottle, rain coats etc. will be available. The fair is being held from April 21 till June 15.

The fair was inaugurated by city police commissioner G Sparjan Kumar today at 10:30 am. The first sale was done by south zone IG P Prakash and was received by co-operative department joint registrar E Nizamuddin. The fair offers quality products of leading brands at 20 to 50 per cent discount than the general market. Police officers will be given interest-less loans for purchasing products from the school bazaar. Several prominent officials including Thiruvananthapuram range DIG P Nishanthini, rural district police chief Dr Divya P Gopinath, city AR camp commandant Ashok Kumar, ASP commandant Ajith Kumar B and Co-operative society assistant registrar A Sherif, have attended the inauguration ceremony.

Huge discounts

Books, bags, uniforms and shoes are sold at 20, 30, 50 per cent cheaper than the general market. Customers will have to pay only Rs 400 for a branded school bag of Rs 850. A bundle of two notebooks costs Rs 340 in the open market and Rs 235 in the bazaar. Discounts are offered for all products.
