Kejriwal takes action amid Covid surge; Delhi govt announces free booster dose

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has announced free booster dose for those aged between 18 and 59. The free vaccines will be available at government vaccine centres. Vaccines are already being provided free of cost for those above 60 years.

Free booster dose has also been provided to healthcare workers and frontline workers in the state. On Wednesday, the daily case numbers in the capital city crossed 1000. A total of 1009 new Covid cases were reported. With this, the government has made masks mandatory and the fine of Rs 500 has been re-imposed.

Sufficient changes have been made to the CoWin portal to receive the booster dose. Those who have completed nine months since the second vaccine dose are eligible for the booster dose. There is no need for fresh registration.
