Laila Cottage where memories of actor Prem Nazir remain for sale

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The house of evergreen actor of Mollywood, Prem Nazir, Laila Cottage is up for sale. The house is located on Korani Road near Pulimoodu Junction in Chirayinkeezhu. This house is the only remnant of his memories. Even 30 years after Prem Nazir's death, many film lovers still come to see Laila Cottage which is full of his memories.

Nazir's youngest daughter, Rita, got the house when the actor’s properties were shared. Rita later handed over the house to her daughter. The house is put on sale as she is in the United States with her family. The locals and cultural activists want the government to buy Laila Cottage and turn it into a memorial. The house is about 60 years old but there is no damage to the concrete and walls. However, film lovers visiting the house of their beloved actor is sad to see the pathetic condition of the house. Grass is grown all around the house. The actor’s house is a favourite of not only fans but also for many movie stars.
