The actor has shared about a traditional Assamese shawl that he received in return for building a house for Munmi. He has also shared pictures of him wearing the shawl.
“Munmi was kind enough to present me a traditional Assamese shawl when I gifted her a home. I gave her my word that when I reach Delhi I'll be wearing this on my shoulders. When I arrived at my residence in Delhi I was surprised to find another silk shawl along with a box of sweets. I was overjoyed to discover that it came as a gift from the Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma. Little but sweet gestures in love that are truly valuable than word”, he wrote on Facebook.
Munmi had contested in the Vikas Nagar ward of Iritty in Kannur as a BJP candidate in the municipal polls. She had been living in a rented house along with her husband and children.
Suresh Gopi, on learning about Munmi's living conditions, had promised to build her a house. Munmi and her family began living in their new house on April 21, in the presence of Suresh Gopi.
