Wrote public examination using Bluetooth; thirteen people, including a Congress leader arrested

BENGALURU: Thirteen people, including a Congress leader, have been arrested for doing irregularities in the Karnataka government's PSI public examination. A case has also been registered against Afzalpur Block Congress president Mahantesh Patil for allegedly helping candidates to appear for exams illegally. Veer Varsha and assistant Saranabasappa, who took part in the exam, were also arrested.

Patil was arrested at the National Hall in Afzalpur town during a mass marriage ceremony of 101 people. The Congress leader was taken into custody by CID officer DYSP Shankar Gowda. The CID team arrested those who wrote the test with the Bluetooth device in their ear and those who helped them. Hayala Desai, the gunman of Afzalpur MLA, was arrested by the CID yesterday. The Congress leader and others were arrested on the basis of his revelations.
