PALAKKAD: Two more persons from Palakkad city were taken into police custody in connection with the murder of RSS leader Sreenivasan. It is learned that the two, who helped the accused, were also involved in a conspiracy.
IG Ashok Yadav said that the main accused had not left Kerala. He also said that an application will be submitted seeking the custody of the accused in the Subair murder case.
The identification parade of the three accused in remand is not yet complete. The court on the other day remanded Popular Front activists Ashraf, Ashwah and Saddam Hussain.
Police had seized three two-wheelers used by the accused who took part in the conspiracy and an autorickshaw used to smuggle weapons. The mobile phone and personal details which are supposed to have been left by the accused were found in a mosque in Shankuvarathodu. Seven suspects are in remand. They were arrested for conspiring and assisting the accused in the case.
