THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An examination conducted at the Kerala University using an old question paper has been cancelled. It is learned that question papers of previous years were used as such for the exams.

A similar incident had taken place at the Kannur University recently. At Kannur University, questions that were asked in previous years for the Psychology Third Semester Graduation Examination were asked this year as well. The BA English final semester examination conducted by Kerala University on April 6 was also cancelled due to the same reason.

The questioner who copied the previous year's question paper and the Chairman of the Board of Studies who examined it made a serious mistake which caused mental distress to the students and extra cost to the university.

The Save University Campaign Committee submitted a petition to the Governor requesting that the questioners and board members be permanently debarred from the examination work and that their promotion be prevented.
