Youth killed as tanker lorry rams into shop

KANNUR: A 25-year-old youth was killed when a tanker lorry crashed into a shop. The accident happened late last night at Chovva in Kannur. The dead has been identified as Harris, an employee of Daya Medicals. The lorry ran over him when he was standing on the roadside.

The lorry laden with cooking gas was coming from Mangalore. Eyewitnesses said the tanker was over-speeded.
