ALAPPUZHA: Two RSS activists have been taken into custody with deadly weapons at Mannanchery. Those taken into custody have been identified as Sumesh and Sreenath. A murder attempt case has been registered against them. It is learned that a case was registered against them after convinced in a probe that they came to kill Mannanchery panchayat member Navas Naina.
They were taken into custody from the place where SDPI leader Shaan was killed. The incident happened at 11.30 pm last night. The locals informed the police after seeing two people in a suspicious manner. Police seized swords from them after an examination.
K S Shaan, state secretary of SDPI, was murdered on December 18 in 2021. In retaliation, BJP and OBC morcha state secretary Renjith Sreenivasan was hacked to death in front of his mother on the morning of December 19.
