PALAKKAD: The police will collect evidence with the accused, arrested in the murder case of RSS leader Sreeenivasan, on Wednesday. The weapons used for the crime and the places where the accused hid need to be clarified. The police are of the expectation that if evidence is collected in the presence of the accused, who directly took part in the murder, then it could lead to further evidences.
Even though accurate information have been received about more accused, no new arrest will be registered on Wednesday, said the police. As of now, 13 people have been arrested in connection with the case, including Abdul Rahman, Firoz, Parakkunnam native Rishil, who prepared the list of those to be killed, and Basith.
The CCTV visuals of the attackers gang had also surfaced last day. The police had collected the visuals of them passing in front of the Palakkad BJP office. The attackers had arrived in Melamuri on a car, in addition to three bikes. The weapons, which were kept in a Swift car, was handed over to the attackers near Melamuri, said the police.
Meantime, the investigation team is likely to file a petition in the court on Wednesday, seeking custody of the accused in Subair murder case. After taking the accused into custody, evidence may be collected with them at the scene of the murder.
