KOCHI: Actor and producer Vijay Babu has come forward in response to the sexual harassment allegation raised against him. He openly voiced against the complainant through a Facebook live, revealing her name. ‘I am the real victim in this case. My mother, wife, daughter and those who love me are important for me’, said Vijay Babu.

“I have known the girl since 2018. I have not even sent her a single message for five years. She had auditioned for my movie and has acted in it. I have with me about 400 messages and screenshots sent by the complainant since March. She had approached me saying that she was in depression. She texted me many times asking to meet me. Here, I am the victim. I will file a counter case against this. In addition, I will also file a defamation case. This will not be a small case”, said Vijay Babu in the live.

The woman had lodged a complaint against Vijay Babu, last day. In the incident, a rape case has been registered by the Ernakulam South police. The police have not yet released the details of the case. The complaint stated that she was allegedly raped several times in a flat in Ernakulam, after promising her more opportunities in cinema. However, reports suggest that Vijay Babu has not yet been questioned in connection with the case.
