P C is not a fugitive, govt behind action, says Shaun George

KOTTAYAM: Shaun George, son of former MLA P C George, is irked in taking his father into custody, over his controversial remarks against the Muslims. He would have appeared before the police if asked, he is not a fugitive, he has his own stand and does not add water to it ', said Shaun.

Shaun said time will prove whether what George said is right or wrong. The government is behind the action of the police. He was taken into custody from his house Sunday morning at 5 am by a team led by circle inspector of Fort Police Station. The team may have left the capital city at midnight itself. This is due to the compulsion of the government, alleged Shaun.

Shaun said that in his opinion apology should be tendered if anybody is hurt at the hate speech. If any community is hurt at the remarks, as a son had posted his response through a Facebook post, the other day.

Meantime, George taken into custody will be brought to the capital city soon and then his arrest will be registered.
