THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP has come forward supporting former MLA P C George, arrested for his controversial remarks against the Muslims. BJP state chief K Surendran said the arrest of George was a gross violation of freedom of expression.
‘The police are haunting Hindu-Christian leaders. The BJP will mobilize the people and respond. The Pinarayi government is trying to silence all those who talk about Islamic terrorism. In Kerala, the Left Front has completely succumbed to terrorism,’ tweeted Surendran.
Other BJP leaders also came in support of George. Kummanam Rajasekharan responded that they would not accept any action to suppress dissent. BJP leader P K Krishnadas will soon visit George's residence in Erattupetta to meet his family members. Union Minister V Muraleedharan, who visited the AR camp to meet PC George, was denied permission.
