Malayalee nurse dies in accident in Oman

MUSCAT: A nurse was killed when a vehicle carrying Malayalee families from UAE to Oman met with an accident in Oman. The dead has been identified as Sheeba Mary Thomas, 33, of Chepad at Kayakulam in Alappuzha. Seven sustained injuries. The accident happened Sunday morning at Al Wusta Governorate in Haima.


The accident happened when Sheeba, who was working as a nurse in Dubai, and her family were on their way to Salala from Dubai to spent Ramzan holidays. There were two families of seven in the vehicle. The vehicle they were traveling in overturned at Haima. Two seriously injured in the accident have been shifted to Nizwa Hospital. Sheeba’s body is kept at Haima Hospital. She leaves behind her husband Raju Sajimon, father Thomas and mother Mariamma.
