NEW DELHI: National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma on Monday lashed out at the state government over the Hema Committee report. Have requested the Chief Secretary to submit Hema Committee report. If no reply is received within 15 days, a team will be sent to Kerala.The chairperson of the Women's Commission said that there was no need for a new law and that the existing internal committee was strong. The report should be made public legally. Rekha Sharma also demanded that the report should be given to the complainants.
The report was to be released within three months. The state government is responsible for this. The WCC is constantly giving complaints. They criticized the lack of an internal grievance redressal mechanism in production houses.
