Free bus service for ten lakh construction workers in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Construction workers will now get free travel on Delhi Transport Corporation buses. About 10 lakh people registered with the Delhi government will benefit from this. Masons, painters, welders, carpenters and crane workers can travel for free. The Delhi government has started issuing free bus passes to registered workers. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the government's move will help construction workers to save more money and to increase their savings. The government has given them financial assistance of Rs 600 crore.
