Covid surge: Over 5.2 lakh people died of corona virus in country, report out

NEW DELHI: Reports suggest that more than 5.2 lakh people have died due to Covid-19. According to a report by the Civil Registration System (CRS), more than 5.2 lakh people have died due to Covid in the country.

Last day, over 3,000 cases were reported in the country. With this, the total case count has gone up to 4,30,88,118. A total of 31 new deaths were also recorded, raising the overall death toll to 5,23,920.

The daily test positivity rate (TPR) is 1.07 percent, said the union health ministry. 2,802 people have recovered last day. With this, the total number of people who have recovered has increased to 4,25,44,689.

Meantime, the World Health Organization (WHO) will release the world’s Covid death rate on Thursday. According to reports, more than 1.5 crore people have died due to Covid-19 across the world.
