THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the informal discussion convened by Minister K Krishnankutty on Thursday to settle the strike of the pro-Left Officers Association in KSEB, the leaders and the chairman had a dispute. As part of the settlement, it was agreed that those who were transferred will be reappointed as per the vacancies in the capital, the chairman later said that discipline should be maintained on their return. Association leaders burst out at Ashok's remarks. They sharply criticised the actions of the Chairman.

The situation calmed down after the minister warned that disciplinary violation would not be allowed as the strike was resolved and that law and order would apply equally to all. The discussion was held in view of the Left Front's suggestion that immediate action should be taken on the issue in view of the Thrikkakara by-election. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary, Department of Power will meet the leaders of the association again today as per the directions of the High Court. The minutes will be handed over to the High Court.
