Cop found hanging in Thampanoor hotel, family allege mental harassment from seniors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A civil police officer was found hanging at a private hotel in Thampanoor. He has been identified as S J Saji of Neyyattinkara station. Saji's family alleged that mental harassment from senior officials of the station led him to take the drastic step. His family also demanded a detailed investigation into the incident.

The hotel staffs found him hanging in the room Friday early morning. Saji took the room in the hotel on Thursday afternoon. As he was missing for the last two days, his family had lodged a complaint. His body was found when a police investigation was going on.

His family alleged that he took the extreme step due to mental harassment from his senior officials including the circle inspector of Neyyattinkara station and more things have to be revealed.
