SRINAGAR: Three terrorists, including a Hizbul Mujahideen member, were killed in an encounter with the security forces near the route of the annual Amarnath Yatra in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that one of the slain terrorists, Ashraf Molvi, was a member of Hizbul Mujahideen.
According to sources, the terrorists opened fire while the security forces were conducting a search operation in the Srichand Top forest area in Pahalgam after reiving inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. Following this, an encounter broke out between the terrorists and security forces.
