Never said Joe is church's nominee, CPM have fielded a candidate who hugs PC George: VD Satheesan

KOCHI: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has changed his stand on the LDF candidate decision in Thrikkakara. He said that no UDF leader has said that Joe Joseph is a nominee of the church. He also alleged that the CPM dragged the name of the church. He was speaking to the media in Kochi.

"We never said that Joe Joseph is a candidate of the church. The CPM held a press conference with the candidate in front of the backdrop with the church symbol. The minister, who held a press conference with the director who is a priest, dragged the church into this. Not us."

"Within hours of announcing the candidate, PC George said this candidate is his own boy. The CPM is fielding a candidate who hugs PC George, who only opens his mouth to spit poison", Satheesan scoffed.

VD Satheesan said that he realized that without Pinarayi Vijayan, the CPM in Kerala would be a big zero. "What are they doing here? They are walking with pleasure without showing any leadership skills. They made themselves worse", he said.
