The price of domestic cylinders has crossed Rs 1000 on Saturday. With a hike of Rs 50, the price of domestic gas cylinders has now reached Rs 1006. In the wake of the current price hike, Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran, has raised some sharp questions against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“While leaving home in the morning, my mother expressed concern over the increasing price of gas cylinders. If this goes on, then the price would be around Rs 3,000 by the time of my wedding”, the mayor said in a Facebook post. The price of gas cylinders is rising in such a way that it destroys the very financial security of families. As a representative of millions of girls whose future is in question, the mayor has urged the prime minister to curb the price hike as unemployment is on the rise.
