KOCHI: K V Thomas came to the fore saying that KPCC president K Sudhakaran's statement that the party has expelled him from the Congress is a lie. No official information ousting me from the party has been obtained. The AICC has to expel me. I am a senior member of the party. I cannot move away from the culture of the party. I am not joining the LDF. My decision is to stand independently, informed Thomas.
Congress has lost its relevance and become a skeleton. The Congress is a party led by many eminent leaders like G K Mooppanar and K Karunakaran. Many top leaders had left the party. The relevance of Chintan Shivir has lost. Is this how people are invited to Chintan Shivir, asked Thomas.
K V Thomas has been at odds with the state Congress leadership for a long time. KPCC chief K Sudhakaran said Thomas was expelled from the Congress after attending the Thrikkakara election convention attended by the chief minister.
Thomas had earlier alleged that the party was trying to isolate him from the party and neglecting him since 2018. Meantime, K C Venugopal said that if K V Thomas is not in the Congress then he is nothing.
