Legendary Australian player Andrew Symonds was one of the best all-rounders the world has ever seen. In addition to batting, bowling and fielding, Symonds was at the forefront in terms of his prowess in the cricket field as well.

Harbhajan Singh is a name that always comes to the fore when it came to discussions about Symonds. The controversy between Indian player Harbhajan Singh and Symonds, during the India-Australia Sydney test in 2007, had led to wide talks in the cricket world.

Symonds had then alleged that Harbhajan insulted him by calling him a monkey. After three years, both of them played together for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Later, Symonds had revealed that Harbhajan had apologized to him at the time.

Harbhajan Singh has now come forward sharing his pain over the death of Symonds. “I woke up this morning and saw my phone and I was shattered with this news that Andrew is no more. I still can't believe Andrew is no more because he's such a strong guy and whatever has happened is a very sad thing. My condolence to his family and friends and it's a loss for all of us,” he said.

He also thanked the Mumbai Indians team, which played a major part in uniting the players. “We used to sit together, have a drink, laugh. He used to share a lot of stories. He was someone I could call at 2:30 in the morning and say ‘hey mate, what are you doing, what are you up to, lets meet’ and he would be up for it, added Harbhajan Singh
