Honour killing: 21-year-old man stabbed to death for marrying woman from another caste

HYDERABAD: In another shocking incident of honour killing, a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death in front of his family for marrying a girl from a different caste. He was killed by a five-member gang on a street in Begum Bazaar. The incident took place around 7.30 pm on Friday. Shahinayathgunj police have launched an investigation. No information has been received about the killers.

Neeraj Panwar, who was killed, married a woman from another caste. The girl's family was opposed to the marriage. They also have a baby who is only two and a half months old. Neeraj Panwar was running a shop in Begum Bazaar.

Police believe the woman's family was involved in the murder. Neeraj was stabbed on the head and chest and several other parts of body and died on the spot.

Neeraj's father told police that his son was killed by his attackers in the name of love marriage and that he had never received any threats before.
