THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Despite repeated demands from the vigilance court, the government is playing hide-and-seek in the brewery distillery corruption case by not submitting the required documents, said Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala. He had lodged a complaint pointing out that the previous Pinarayi government had illegally given permission, in allotting brewery, in order to aid Abkaris and that there is corruption in it. A special vigilance court had sought the documents while hearing the plea.

Chennithala said that the fear of being caught red-handed was behind them not producing the documents before the court. E P Jayarajan and V S Sunil Kumar are not appearing before the court, despite repeated demands, out of fear, he opined.
