Vinai Kumar Saxena appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, President approves appointment

NEW DELHI: With the resignation of Anil Baijal, Vinai Kumar Saxena has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind has approved the appointment and has accepted the resignation of Anil Baijal.

Saxena is currently the Chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

Anil Baijal resigned on May 19 citing personal reasons. He was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi in December, 2016.
