Woman dies after piece of meat gets stuck in throat

PALAKKAD: A woman who was undergoing treatment after a piece of meat got stuck in her throat, died on Monday. She has been identified as Fathima (22), daughter of Yahiya of Chethalloor.

The piece of meat which she ate on Sunday evening got stuck in her throat. Though she was admitted at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna, her life could not be saved. She died on Monday afternoon. She was a MSC psychology student of Darunnajath College in Mannarkkad. Fathima, married one-and- a half years ago, was staying in her own house to go to college. Her husband’s house is in Chemmaniyode. She leaves behind her husband Asif and mother Azoora and siblings Haniya and Haniyath.
