Next burden on users; mobile companies likely to increase rates again this year, this is the only solution

mobile-charge

Another hike rate is likely to happen in India's telecom sector. All mobile companies had increased their rates at the end of last year. As per reports, rates may change by the end of this year as well. Prepaid tariffs will increase from 10 per cent to 12 per cent. The rate hike will help companies to recover from losses. Companies are trying to get the average amount received from a single user close to two hundred rupees per month.

Jio and Airtel are the two leading telecom companies in India. Meanwhile, Vi is struggling. Jio and Airtel are focused on getting more customers. It is believed that Vi will hike the rates only when the top two comapnies does so.

Tech sites have come up several solutions to avoid price hikes following reports that mobile companies will raise rates during Diwali. If the rate hike is done by all the companies collectively, then the hike cannot be avoided by porting the SIM. In this case, it is advisable to recharge a scheme with more validity. However, those who occasionally port the number to switch companies may lose this benefit.
