Court to pronounce verdict on police’ plea seeking quashing of bail granted to P C George

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court will pronounce the verdict on the plea of the police seeking quashing of the bail granted to former MLA P C George. The verdict will be pronounced by Thiruvananthapuram First Class Magistrate Court.


The court had granted anticipatory bail to P C George the other day in the case registered by the Palarivattom police. He was granted bail on the condition that he should not make public statements. The prosecution had told the court earlier that George had violated the bail conditions and that a case has been registered in Kochi for his hate speech again.

A case was registered against George for his hate speech during a temple festival at Vennala Thykatt Sri Mahadeva Temple on May 8. The case was registered against him for his provocative speech against a religious group.
