Hate speech case: P C George in jail; remanded for two weeks

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former MLA P C George has been remanded in hate speech case. Vanchiyoor court remanded him for two weeks. He was shifted to Poojappura Jail after medical examination.

George was subjected to medical examination even before producing him in the court. The police have given custody plea and it will be considered on Monday.

Meantime, the high court will consider his bail plea today. He said that he will reveal everything if bail is granted. George told the media that the case was politically motivated and that he came ready to go to jail.

‘Cruelty is being shown to me. Will reveal many things if bail is granted. Not saying anything now because of the ban. There is support from the public and the BJP is supporting sincerely. All the leaders had come to Ernakulam yesterday. I feel funny when on the things done by the police,’ he said.
