The eagerly awaited state film awards will be announced by Culture Minister Saji Cherian at 5 pm tomorrow. This time all films of famous stars are in the race.
Films of Mammootty, Dulquer, Mohanlal and Pranav are competing with each other. Suresh Gopi, Indrans, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Guru Somasundaram are in a tough fight with them.
Films of Kunchacko Boban, Dileep, Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Biju Menon, Fahadh Faasil, Tovino Thomas, Joju George, Chemban Vindo, Asif Ali, Nivin Pauly, Soubin Shahir, Sunny Wayane and Anoop Menon are also in the race.
Mammootty is competing with One and The Priest and Mohanlal with Drishyam 2. Suresh Gopi's film is Kaval. Films like Home and Hridayam are also in the race.
Films of Manju Warrier, Parvathy Thiruvoth, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Nimisha Sajayan and Anna Ben are also there. Films of Rajeesha Vijayan, Darsana Rajendran, Aishwarya Lakshmi have reached the final rounds.
The final jury led by chairman Akhtar Mirza, Bollywood director and script writer will assess the films. The jury have seen all films. 142 films are competing. Best 40 to 45 films have been left to the final jury to review. The final jury have seen some films after specially summoned.
