No arrest till he reaches state, court grants interim bail to Vijay Babu

KOCHI: The court has granted interim bail to actor and producer Vijay Babu till he reaches the state. The court vocally mentioned that interim bail is being granted after his lawyer informed that the actor will reach Kerala on May 30. The court said anticipatory bail would be granted at the time the actor directly produces the documents. An order in this regard may be issued soon.

Vijay Babu, who was in Georgia, had returned to Dubai two days ago. He is returning home from here. Vijay Babu's lawyer produced the copy of the flight ticket from Dubai to Kochi in the high court.

Vijay Babu had earlier said that he would appear before the police on May 19. However, Vijay Babu tried to continue abroad till he gets bail. However, that attempt did not materialize due to the intervention of the court.

Justice P Gopinath informed let him first come under their jurisdiction and then would consider his bail plea. The passport of Vijay Babu, who was absconding, was also cancelled. It was then he decided to return home. His return is with the special permission of the embassy.
