AHMEDABAD: A dead lizard was found in a cola bought from McDonald's. The youth who went out to have a meal with his friend from a McDonald's outlet in Ahmedabad spotted the lizard in his soft drink. The company was shut down after the incident became controversial. The action was taken by the Food Safety Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

McDonald, meanwhile, responded that the complaint is being investigated. They said there wasn't anything wrong during their check. McDonald's said in a statement that it would co-operate with the authorities on the issue as a good corporate entity.

Bhargav Joshi, a native of Ahmedabad, came forward with the complaint along with the video. Joshi and his friend ordered two burgers and two glasses of cola from McDonald's.

The youth said the manager laughed at first when he complained about the unfortunate incident. Joshi also alleged that the manager, who later told him that he will check the CCTV, did not return. He pointed out that the company's response was that the bill would be refunded following his complaint.
