No plan to leave aided appointments to PSC; decision after examining all sides, says Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that there are no plans to leave the aided appointments to Public Service Commission (PSC). A decision can be taken only after examining all sides. Neither the CPM, government nor the LDF has thought about it, said Kodiyeri.

‘There are presently no plans to leave the aided appointments to PSC. It can be decided only after looking at all practical aspects and making a consensus. The organizations can demand it but the party and the government have not thought about it. A K Balan said this as a member of an organization,’ Kodiyeri said.

CPM central committee member A K Balan had earlier said that appointments in aided institutions should be left to the PSC. Hope the second Pinarayi government will mark a beginning for this. MES and the SNDP have agreed to this proposal. Hope other communities will also cooperate. He said that a second liberation struggle is no longer possible in Kerala.

Meantime, KCBC and the NSS had opposed the move to leave the aided appointments to PSC. KCBC said that this was a threat from the government and that action should be taken against the management committing irregularities. There is a conspiracy behind the CPM move. Should not forget the service of the aided institutions, said Sukumaran Nair. However, Vellapally Natesan informed to leave the appointments in aided school to the PSC. No management appointment is required when government pays the salary.
