KOCHI: The UDF is not involved in circulating pornographic video against Thrikkakkara LDF candidate Jo Joseph, said opposition leader V D Satheesan. It is not the ones who circulated the video, but the people who uploaded the video on social media, who should be caught. Then, the plaintiff will become the accused, said Satheesan.

“This is an event that was deliberately made up to create an emotional issue in the final stage of the bypolls. Nobody from the UDF are involved in this. We will not go that way. Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and his family have been humiliated many times. Female journalists were insulted. Has any action been taken against those attacks launched by CPM cyber gangs? The CPM has launched such campaigns against me too. They brought a woman, whom I had never met in my life, and spread rumours. The man who was arrested in the case was granted bail on the intervention of the chief minister’s office. What kind of a justice is this?”, said Satheesan.

“There is no need to win votes by spreading rumours in Thrikkakkara. The UDF will win with a good majority even without it. Not only the CPM candidate has a family. Do remember that we also have families. I will not justify those who circulated the video”, he added.
