KOCHI: Police put a halt to PC George's election campaign in Thrikkakara. He was asked to appear at the Fort police station tomorrow. The police made this move as PC George was going to Thrikkakara tomorrow for campaigning.

He was asked to appear at the station at 11 am to collect information needed for the investigation.

The High court on Friday had granted bail to P C George with strict conditions in the hate speech case. The court has directed him not to deliver any speech or statement that incites religious hatred or offends religious sentiments.

After his release from prison, former MLA P C George said that he will not criticize any religion. “I don’t intend to violate the law. As a citizen, I am obliged to abide by the decision of the high court. However, I will say what I have to say”, P C George told the media.

The BJP is not a party that hunts down Christians and there is nothing wrong in collaborating with them, he said. “My imprisonment was Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s game. He will be given reply in Thrikkakkara tomorrow”, he added.

P C George was released from the Poojappura Central Jail by around 7 pm, last day. He was received by BJP leaders and activists with slogans and garlands.
